[03.02.06] BULLETS LOSE OUT TO THE BEARS
Genesis Brighton Bears continued their improved run of form coming from behind to defeat a resilient Birmingham Bullets side 105-92 on Thursday night on the South coast.
The Bears were led by Jerry Williams who recorded a triple double with 34 points and 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Bullets opened up an early 17-8 advantage and held the lead throughout the opening three quarters before a 10-0 start to the final stanza nudged the Bears in front 79-77. A 10-4 burst a little later in the quarter put daylight between the sides at 92-85 and with the Bullets forced to foul to stop the clock the Bears ran out comfortable winners.
Bullets high points came from new signings Rudy Wallace who led his side with 23 points and Johnny Phillips who notched a double double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
